Now you have your rental car and are ready for an excursion to discover the island of Crete.
Being in the area of Ammoudara as far as Vathi you have endless options.
However, one of the best is to continue east for a while and reaching Istron we take the branch for Kalo village.
We continue to Prina and Kalamavka.
Here, we have a choice to walk in the Prina forest or in the Havga gorge of Kalamavka.
Then, we can continue driving and from Males to go down south to Myrtos or Tertsa where we can enjoy the southern Cretan sea.
We can also enjoy tasty snacks in one of the traditional taverns of these areas.
In the evening, you can take a walk at the coastal road of Ierapetra and start organizing your next visit since only a short time to get to know Ierapetra is not enough.
