It is a fairly organized village where you can find the beach that attracts most visitors in the area,

During the months of May to September you might find on the beach the threatened Caretta caretta laying their eggs on the sand.

In the village you can find a couple of tavernas, cafes and restaurants where you can taste local food and Cretan mezedes and you can also find renting rooms,

Around the village of Lendas you can find a couple of beautiful beaches such as Diskos beach, Petrakis/Ostria beach,

Loutra fishing/Yaght port and beach, a couple of archeological sites such as

the archeological site of Levin which was the sanctuary of Asclepius and thermal spring during Roman times.

By your rent car you can drive from Lendas more east along the South coast to Keratokabos, Avri, Mirtos and Ierapetra.
